Programme Governance Audit & Assurance
Objective evidence that addresses portfolio direction, project sponsorship, project management effectiveness and accurate reporting of information supports a coherent approach between corporate governance and associated project management processes.
In order to provide assurance that processes are validated and adhere to best practice principles, we assess performance against Association of Project Management recommendations for the Governance of Project Management and the Governance of Multi-Owned Projects. Once the assessment is complete we develop a joint action plan to address areas for improvement, ensuring ownership within the client organisation. HVR can deploy specifically developed tools and techniques ranging from training and mentoring to assist with culture change through to provision of consulting advice or personnel to aid the completion of actions where required. By undertaking a reassessment once actions are complete objective evidence of improvements can be identified to key programme stakeholders.
Employing a structured approach to the assessment of our client’s processes, we work with project and business teams within client owned and consortium based endeavours to review the components essential to the successful delivery of projects in the context of wider corporate objectives. By developing a joint understanding of the principles of successful governance and assurance, underpinned by robust and informed analysis, we work with stakeholders across the organisation to develop a culture that helps define, and ensure attainment of, corporate goals.
