OSCAM facilitates the assessment of operating and support costs for new and legacy programmes. Through use of the application, our clients develop optimised support strategies and target improvements to current support policies.
The Operating and Support Cost Analysis Model (OSCAM), developed by HVR Consulting, is a joint UK/US programme aimed at developing tools that provide rapid assessment of the operating and support costs of high cost capital assets and their component systems. Using System Dynamics, OSCAM captures the business processes that drive costs and map their relationship to management policies. Through the use of OSCAM, we support our clients in the assessment of maintenance strategies and operating policies towards better understanding the cost and availability of key assets. Our OSCAM models have been developed for land, maritime and aviation environments and have been successfully applied to assess costs and overall support policy on several multi-billion dollar programmes.
